A Oscar le gusta experimentar con múltiples técnicas y por más de 15 años ha trabajado la pintura (en técnicas como la tempera y encáustica), escultura, pero el grabado siempre ha sido su especialidad. Es aficionado a la humanidad y a lo que la rodea, sin embargo es un artista solitario, por ello su obra es resultado de todo lo que siente, ve, escucha y lee, formando así obras de fuerte carácter artístico, casi teatral. Su estilo es abstracto figurativo con toques de humor negro y detalles de la cultura popular mexicana. Ha trabajado como ilustrador independiente, forma parte de "Artecocodrilo Ediciones" y es fundador del colectivo latino-canadiense "La Trinchera".
Ha recibido condecoraciones por diversos festivales de arte internacionales y ha expuesto en algunos países de Latinoamérica y de Estados Unidos, Canadá, Italia y España. Su obra ha sido adquirida por Nelson Mandela, Fidel Castro Ruz, el famoso cantante cubano Silvio Rodríguez, Alfredo Zalce, por el Museo Mugrabi en Nueva York y la Universidad de Arte y Diseño de Taipei, entre otros.
"Mi obra es una recopilación constante de mis sentimientos hacia lo externo, mi lectura más privada de mis miedos, mis obsesiones y mi urgencia de reaccionar ante lo aborrecible y lo injusto. Oscar likes to experiment with multiple techniques, and for more than 15 years he has dedicated himself to painting (tempera and encaustic), sculpture, although he specializes in engraving. He is a fan of humanity and everything that surrounds it; however, he is a solitary artist and this is why his work is a product of all that he feels, sees, listens and reads, creating this way artwork with strong artistic character. His style is abstract figurative with hints of dark humor and details from popular Mexican culture. He has worked as an independent illustrator, belongs to "Artecododrilo Ediciones" and is founder of Latin-Canadian group "La Trinchera".
He has received honors by several international art festivals and has presented his work in some Latin American countries and in the United States, Canada, Italy and Spain. His work has been bought by Nelson Mandela, Fidel Castro Ruiz, famous Cuban singer Silvio Rodriguez, Alfredo Zalce, Mugrabi Museum in New York and Art and Design University in Taipei, among others.
